Please be WEARY
Oh be weary. Be VERY weary!!! Sit back and let me tell you a long and probably worst Realtor story you've ever heard! I promise you its worth the read...... So, I decide I want to buy a home, a DR Horton Home at that. A new build to be specific. I called DHI mortgage and start the pre approval process. I speak with a young lady name Jacki Simmons. She asks me if I have a realtor and I didn't. She refers me to her HUSBANDS company, Element Realty. Should have been my first warning sign as it is sorta like they are double dipping here. Anyway, i was assigned a realtor named Trish Black. We went out ONE single day looking and my wife and I immediately find a new build we want. We give our earnest money to Mrs. Black to put down on the home. This was on a saturday. I was supposed to come back on Monday and sign the contract. When I showed up Monday, I noticed they had the wrong address and the wrong home on my contract. Once I said something, everyone get stone silent. Well, it seems that Mrs. Black put the WRONG address on the paper work that goes along with the earnest money and DR Horton SOLD my home on Sunday!!! Are you freaking kidding me??? So of course, my wife and I are angry and immediately start raising cane. I started first with why my mortgage person is even recommending such an incompetent company to begin with. Well, she wasn't. Almost immediately I get a call from the owner of Element Realty (Tom Simons) and he basically tells me in no uncertain terms that I best stop raising so much cane because his wife was getting in trouble and if I did he personally knows some of the big wigs within DR HORTON out of Dallas on a first name basis and that he would see to it that my loan didn't go through. I was floored! Anyway, I didn't stop raising cane. I mean because of their mistake, it COST ME MY HOME!!! 5 days later I get another call from him. I let it go to VM and I call him back so this time I could record the conversation. Luckily enough for me, he repeated the same threats and this time I caught it all on recording!!! The Texas State Realtor Commission now has that recording. Oh, I forgot to mention on how they were a no call no show to my walk though, 15 min late for my contract signing and yeah..... just the worlds WORST realty company here folks. Many a sleepless nights they caused me and if you are smart, you'll RUN, not walk, RUN the other way!!!
